I'm not good with horror games so I don't think I can play this, but at least gonna leave a comment to say I love the lookand vibe of the game from what I see. gonna check out your profile because of it! :D

edit: saw you don't have many other projects, so I'm gonna follow for now! maybe i'll gain the courage to try this out someday too

hey, the game is really not scary to be honest, it’s more a puzzle game with a story.

No jump scare, gore or anything like that so you should be fine even if you don’t like horror :)

maybe i should try it out then! puzzles seem fun, but i'm really not good with horror (even ambient atmospheric stuff lol) i get too stressed. But, if you're saying it isn't too scary, then it seems really interesting to me :) i think i'll at least give it a shot and i'll leave a review when i do

Idk how to avoid spoilers on here but figured I'd give another update. Tried playing again a few times but kept encountering run-ending bugs. I'm a web developer but know nothing about game dev, so you'll know more about how these bugs work, and I'll try to explain them in decent detail.

1.) Jumping in the church while holding W (forward) causes the character to fall through the floor, without fail. Tested multiple times. However, jumping while stationary acts as normal.

2.) Spamming 'Skip' during the intro 'Wryoak' screen does not skip it, only hangs the splash screen as long as you are spamming 'Skip'.

3.) Not necessarily a bug, but you can use the hill beside the power station to jump over the fence into the station. The only way to get out that I found was to jump on the wooden handrail and jump back over the fence. I like exploring things like this.

3a.) Also, jumping onto some houses, the roof is not solid and you can see through the model.

4.) Got stuck on guitar computer screen and keycard(Grant's?) computer screen again. I think this has to do with me clicking out of the game to type notes into my notepad, then clicking back into the game. It happened while I had Dr. Grant's ID on screen; I Alt+tabbed and typed his info into my notepad, when I clicked back in game the computer screen came up and his ID faded out, and I was unable to type/esc/click to get out. Same happened while viewing the guitar tabulature, typing in my notepad, then clicking back onscreen.

One nitpicky thing; At first I had trouble figuring out how the dialogue/examine/computer exit worked. I would press Esc and it would bring up the objective screen, I would click continue and still be in the dialogue/examine/computer screen. It's not very obvious that you should click again to get out of the screen. All in all, I'm enjoying messing around in the game and I like the atmosphere. I'll be excited to play through it when I'm not at risk of a game ending bug lmao. Thanks for the quick patch!

thank you, that helps a lot.

I have to redesign the all UI system, lots of people have issues with it.

It’s going to take me a little longer than the quick patch I just did but I’ll release an update soon that should fix that and a lot of other things.

Got stuck in the left cabin's computer screen, the one at the beginning. After the objective screen popped up and I clicked continue, I could walk around but the computer screen was still displayed, and I couldn't type/escape it.

Thank you for your feedback. I just fixed that bug and released an update.

Definitely a fun experience overall. The interface and controls can be a little janky sometimes so it would be cool if we were given a bit of settings for audio control and a splash page for a rundown of controls.

There are still a few kinks to work out as well. Fell into the skybox near the end and no save meant I had to start over. Accidentally skipped a big (probably) portion of the story too when wandering in the middle trying to find the next puzzle. Still, I enjoyed my time with the game and look forward to future efforts by this team.

thanks! Yea the game is still a work in progress and can use some polishing for sure.

Glad you had a good time playing it.
